Mário Afonso (1983), é um artista plástico, professor e investigador.
Licenciado em artes plásticas na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto e Mestre em Criação Artística Contemporânea na Universidade de Aveiro.
A frequentar o Doutoramento em Arte e Multimédia na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, com o projeto de Investigação "Arte e Química: Simbiose para a representação".
A gerir o Projeto Estação, espaço de divulgação cultural. O espaço está a ser explorado com o intuito de divulgar o trabalho de artistas nacionais e internacionais, de várias áreas artísticas, como a fotografia, pintura, música, cinema, vídeo-arte, etc.
O espaço também é dedicado a projetos que envolvam, tecnologia, ciência e educação. Para além disto, são realizados ateliers com crianças e adultos, incentivando a produção e o pensamento artístico e crítico.
A Estação também promove o cinema através de parcerias com o Festival Internacional de Cinema de Avanca, e com a Marmostra.
Desenvolver o projeto “Quinta Nova”, que tem como principal função integrar as disciplinas de ciência, investigação, arte e tecnologia num contexto rural único, localizado na Bioria em Canelas. A contribuição vai desde a conceção e coordenação de iniciativas colaborativas até a implementação de soluções criativas que promovam a sinergia entre essas áreas, resultando num espaço para inovação e exploração interdisciplinar excecional.
Mário Afonso (1983), is a visual artist, teacher and researcher.
Graduated in fine arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and Master in Contemporary Artistic Creation from the University of Aveiro.
He is studying for a PhD in Art and Multimedia at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, with the research project "Art and Chemistry: Symbiosis for representation".
Station Project Management, cultural dissemination space. The space is being explored with the aim of promoting the work of national and international artists, from different artistic areas, such as photography, painting, music, cinema, video art, etc.
The space is also dedicated to projects involving technology, science and education. In addition, workshops are held with children and adults, encouraging production and artistic and critical thinking.
The Station also promotes cinema through partnerships with the Avanca International Film Festival, and Marmostra.
Develops the “Quinta Nova” project, whose main function is to integrate the disciplines of science, research, art and technology in a unique rural context, located in Bioria in Canelas. The contribution ranges from the design and cooperation of collaborative initiatives to the implementation of creative solutions that promote synergy between these areas, resulting in a space for innovation and exceptional interdisciplinary exploration.
